Wayne Malcolm is a Senior Lecturer at Fukui University of Technology. He has a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in curriculum and instruction focused on educational leadership. He has been a teacher of the English language for over 20 years, while also volunteering for the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) in various leadership capacities. In 2019 he became the Director of Conference. In this capacity, he leads a team of JALT volunteers to organize JALT’s marquee event, its annual international conference and educational materials exhibition. His research and practice-oriented interests include global competence, leadership, project-based learning, and 4-skills integration to enhance communicative competence.
